In the last couple of months Microsoft launched a new campaign to try and tempt Internet Explorer users to upgrade to the latest version of the browser, when you did Microsoft would give 8 meals to hungry americans and if you upgraded from Internet Explorer 6 they would double that to 16 meals.

This obviously is a good cause because I certainly don't want any fat american to have their body start consuming the large amounts of food stores around the body, so I immediately i jumped onto the cause and used it as a good way to get people to upgrade from the dreaded Internet Explorer 6 browser, a web designers worse nightmare.

As a web design i understand that Internet Explorer 6 is by no means a good browser and i would have to be held at gun point to even consider it an acceptable method of accessing the internet many websites. Putting something like the death of innocent americans on clients conscience is something i would do willingly if it meant i would never have to receive that dreaded e-mail with the subject "My Website Doesn't Work In IE6" - this is exactly why i promoted this cause from Microsoft.

The cause is called Browse For The Better, i think the name is very misleading however because although people will be getting the new version of Internet Explorer (Internet Explorer 8) they will still be using Internet Explorer, a product from Microsoft and a terrible product at that. So i decided to take matters into my own hands and push for a better campaign that would still save fat and hungry americans from death by lack of food.

So using Microsoft's generosity i decided to launch my own campaign right off the back of Microsoft's called "Browse For The Better with Firefox". The idea is simple, we still get Windows users to download the latest IE and save americans but then we immediately ask them not to use it, ever, and use Firefox instead.

Murder/Terrorism

According to Microsoft 1 in 8 americans go hungry every single day, so lets say that a really small percentage of those people died, that is still a pretty large number and if it could have been prevented i would class it as terrorism. You are potentially contributing to terrorism and you better hope to god you're not in the USA because that is treason and you get the death penalty for that.

Fight Terrorism and download Internet Explorer, then remove all traces of it, then install Firefox.

The Website

Obviously any campaign like this needs a redundant website like Microsoft created so i decided to create one for the campaign, i even registered a domain name too. Visit it, share it and love it.
