Well as you may have read from my last blog post, i created my first iPhone app which was a rejigging of content from this website, in an iPhone app, for free. Well that got rejected because it was useless, i quite agree, so i gave it another shot.

I decided this time it was better to go with something a little more "native" so i decided to read some articles on creating iPhone apps and they were very helpful in teaching me the basics allowing me to create something useful.

I have always been a fan of "Pocket Alan" just because it was pure genius and was always good fun when you are with friends and fancied reminiscing with friends about awesome TV shows like Alan Partridge.

So i got my ass into gear and i planned out an app that would feature sounds from some of my favourite films, that way even if Apple rejected it i could still use it. I decided on Anchorman, Billy Madison, Superbad, Hot Rod and Happy Gilmore and started to take soundbites from the films and put them into the app.

After about 2 weeks of work i finally managed to finish the app and make it look prettier than the other soundboards in the app store, i also did some research into the legality of the soundboard (it is copyrighted) and found that it likely falls under fair use because of the length of the sounds.

I submitted the app into the app store and this weekend it got accepted for sale and is currently available for free. Please download the app and share it with friends, the more downloads the better really.

As of Friday 26th Feb 2010 the app will be sold for 59p to cover development time and effort.
