About Me

Who am i? Well i'm John Slater, web designer and developer.

I have worked in the web design and development industry for around 5 years, mainly doing websites for me with some websites for small businesses. Over the past 2 years i have developed my skills at a much faster rate and because of this i have been able to create websites that improve a companies lead rate.

In the five years i have worked doing web design and development i have created numerous websites for myself. These are described below and are in the order of release.

#1 Proper D'oh - A small website aimed at the hit TV Show The Simpsons, the website was created to offer unique content and also keep people updated on the latest news and developments in the world of The Simpsons. (2003-2005)

#2 PD Downloads - A forum that was created on the back of Proper D'oh where it originally focused on TV Shows, over the time the forum was online we received over 3,000 members and over 60,000 posts. (2004-2007)

#3 Little Britain Online - Another fan site i created in 2005 was Little Britain Online that was created to be focused on the hit UK TV show, Little Britain staring Matt Lucas and David Walliams, the website soon became the number 1 resource for all Little Britain news and content and still continues to be now. The site was recognised by the BBC as well as Granada Ventures, the company behind all merchandising, both companies offer me the latest merchandise for review, the BBC also trusted the site enough to give out early release DVDs of the show before it aired. The site was sold in March 2007. (2005-2007)

#4 PSP Desktops - Another hobby website that was created in early 2006 that offers free downloadable wallpapers for the popular games console. The site is a huge source of revenue from advertising, the website is no longer run by me however the back-end development and user interface was developed by me. The website is still owned by me and regular offers are made for the purchase of the site. (2006-Present)

#5 Feed Mailer - This is one of my current project and is moving in the right direction with great power. Feed Mailer is a free to use service that sends out the latest news updates for any website by e-mail. The website has been running since mid-2006 and is still running strong with huge developments in the future. (2006-Present)

#6 JCWEB Europe - This is the brand for all of my currently owned websites and future developments, i designed the website as well as developed the back-end PHP/MySQL of the website. JCWEB is owned by me and Chris Richardson, although Chris Richardson does not own any of my past developments, only joint ventures such as Feed Mailer.
