iPhone App: Simplify Media

On Wednesday i received my shiny new iPhone 3G in White which just looks amazing and totally worth the wait without a doubt. Since the purchase of the new iPhone i have been scouting for brilliant new applications that will make the iPhone better than any other piece of crap phone on the market. Thanks to a recommendation by James Omerod i came across Simplify Media which is a brilliant piece of software that you install on your computer (PC, Mac or Linux) and when it is running to shares your music collection with friends. Not only does it share your music with friends but it shares your music with yourself making your music accessible from anywhere, and also makes your music (from your PC) accessible on your iPhone.

So to try it out i invited James Omerod to become a friend and using the technological power of the internet i was able to see all of his music and listen to it via iTunes and he was able to see mine.

He cannot download my music to his computer but is free to listen to my music as often as he wants (just as i'm online) from his iPhone or Computer and according to the website it is legal which i imagine is because letting your friend listen to your music is like giving them your other ear plug.

I seriously suggest trying it because with every single friend you invite to it you are expanding your music collection (limit of 30 friends) and this allows you to discover new music which will improve sales for everyone.
