Well it's been almost 1 week since i posted my disgust at The Carphone Warehouse for their poor customer service and repair package. Since then i have learnt new facts which only add to my annoyance.

First let me start by saying I have my iPhone back and it works like a treat but apart from that i'm disappointed at The Carphone Warehouse for their piss-poor customer service.

Sunday 2nd November 2008 - I gave them a call asking where my iPhone was and when i would have it back and they told me Wednesday which was 3 days overdue from the 14 days they promised me. Wednesday came along and i had heard nothing, but i waited for the length of the day to see if i got a text or phone as promised by the sales rep i called. No call ever came.

At this point i was fuming at the lack of decency/courtesy and professionalism presented by The Carphone Warehouse so i made a point of making an angry phone call the following day.

I spend the night rehearsing my angry phone call making sure i used just the right amount of volume but as little bad language (French) as possible because i don't like to upset people and we all know how these call centres can be with their idiotic staff, me pointing their ignorance, inability to speak English in a way i can understand and lack of knowledge would only make their day worse.

Thursday 6th November 2008 - 10:30

I find the phone number, pick up the phone and dial the number with the full force of my index finger, like a crazy person poking a small rabbit in the eye all day, and i get the stupid cow at the other end. "Please select from the following options" she says, but i'm having none of it so i start bellowing down the phone calling her every name possible, "Shut your {edit} mouth you son of a {edit} you select from my {edit} options you crazy {edit}..." i yell. After she had done talking there was a large pause at the end, i was confused, i had no response, had she hung up on me? is she ignoring me? is she waiting for more? - so i carry on. the abuse just kept coming - then. out of nowhere. she just starts talking again. repeating the same options to me. unaware at the level of abuse i'm giving her. it's like she can't hear me. like she is automated.

After loop 4 i realise i'm shouting racist remarks at an automated machine, easy mistake to make. I press 3 and get put through to someone at the desk, by this point i'm all out of things to say and just blurt out "My iPhone. I gave it you. You said 14 days. You lie. Why you lie. Where is my iPhone. Pleeeeeeeeeease" (this is to my best knowledge). I'm told my iPhone has been delivered to the Carphone Warehouse branch (2 days earlier) and that i could pick it up.

Thursday 6th November 2008 - 11:30

I jump in my car and speed off down the motorway with my foot almost touching the road below. 3 miles in and i'm pushing speeds upwards of 45Mphs. At speeds like this i don't need to leave the right hand lane.

Thursday 6th November 2008 - 14:30

I have reached my destination 20 miles away. I storm into the Carphone Warehouse knocking things off shelves and throwing phone covers and laptops to the ground scaring off customers (not 100% true). A man at the counter called me over and explained the situation and all he had to say was sorry. he went into the back. got me my iPhone and gave me a refund for the piece of shit Nokia they gave me.

Now i'm sure you are thinking "How can this get worse for you Mr Slater. Seems like everything bad has happened to you. Your life is much worse than mine and i have been held captive by terrorists in Iraq". Well don't think because your a moron. I didn't ask you think. I asked you to read the damn post. So shut it. BUT it did get worse, he gave me the sexy little iPhone bitch in a sexy little box with a sexy bit of text on the front and it was all sexed up. AND HE TOLD ME!!!!!!

The Climax

... It's been replaced. OMG!!!!! OH MIE GOOOOOOOWD!!!!!! 18 days to replace a fudge-kin iPhone. 18 DAYS.

So if you're gonna get an iPhone don't choose the Carphone Warehouse because they suck like Henry.
